Eponymous is the name for a series of different projects exploring the mythical and the visceral experience of music gigs and music festivals. The audience play the role of The Audience, following instructions projected on a screen in front of them. They dance. They sing. They cheer. They throw plastic cups. They see ghosts and mirages. They see bright lights and the movement of the crowd.
Eponymous has been seen at:
Secret Garden Party, Cambridgeshire (2010)
Supersonic Festival, Birmingham (2010)
In June 2011 an epic 3 hour version of Eponymous will be seen at Latitude Festival in Suffolk, a late night attempt to recreate the whole festival site, from the main stage to the furthest corner of the camping field.
Eponymous is part of Unreal Audiences, a series of projects exploring audience dynamics and the thrill of the crowd.
