Archipelago is a game of Chinese whispers with objects played across a city over the course of a day. Each set of participants is shown a miniature vignette made of everyday objects which they then have to recreate in another site elsewhere in the city. In this way the piece jumps across the city, slowly changing and evolving in response to each group of participants and the objects they can find on their journey.

Archipelago is part of Performing Historiography, a triptych of works exploring the spatial poetics of some of the seminal performance pieces of the 1960s and 70s.
